Why am I discoloring my bath & hand towels? I don't use bleach n I'm leaving handprints on the towels.
I can't imagine what products I am using that I would be leaving on the towels. I only use the towels to dry hand or body after using soap and water. And I washed the towels with cold water...
A: It might be something on your hands that you've wiped on the towel...like acne treatments, bathroom cleaners, hydrogen peroxide, etc.

Can you use plaster of paris to re-mount a ceramic towel bar ...

The plaster alone won’t hold up to the constant use of towels. You may have to put a small rod in the hole and into the ceramic holder to make the repair stronger. Since I can’t see it I can’t tell you for sure. There are many plaster-type products at your Home Depot or Loews or even Walmart that would be better than plaster of paris, but I would reinforce it if I could, no matter what I use to make the connection. And when you make a repair, don’t use the towel bar for a day or two.
