BLACK FRIDAY!
I don’t know whether to wish everyone good luck today, to just pray for you, or tell you all to just stay home in hopes that you can avoid the mass chaos! My family and I got up around six o’clock this morning. Now, my wife is really entertaining at times, and this is one of those moments! Other people are just itching to get a deal on a TV, an Ipad, an electronic device of some kind. My wife – she couldn’t wait to get to JoAnn’s fabrics because they were having a HUGE sale on fabrics and all sorts of sewing accessories. She was more excited than my own kids were for our shopping today. She was out the door before I even headed into the shower. I took my shower and the kids and I ate breakfast while we watched “Snow White” on the Disney Channel. Before long, we were on our way to shop.
I will not say “where” we went shopping because “inquiring minds want to know” (you know, my wife). But, I can tell you that we went Black Friday shopping for my wife this year. This is the first time we have shopped this early in the season. I can tell you that we went to “Best Buy”, “Bed, Bath, and Beyond”, “Target”, “Pet Smart”, “Christmas Tree Shoppes”, “Kohls”, “Wal Mart”, “Macy’s”, “Bon Ton”, “Sears”, and “Five and Below”. We got gas on our way home and then got some lunch at Taco Bell before heading home. We got home and unloaded the trunk of the car into the basement. It took us three hours of wrapping, but we managed to even wrap all of the gifts as well as be ready for Christmas! I was happy that we have it all done and it’s early! While we wrapped gifts, we watched “Elf” and I even took a twenty minute nap (hey, it was a long morning!). After that, we cleaned up.
