Two Dogs and One Epic Thanksgiving Story
Let me first start this post by saying that I know that I have a special flare for the dramatics. Now, I don’t want you to think that I enjoy this character trait. I do not. I’d be perfectly happy just floating along on my little way, minding my own business…. but that’s not how I roll.
This is my Thanksgiving scenario. I spent yesterday trying to thaw out my all-natural, organic, farm-raised turkey. Hold on, did I mention that this turkey is so pink it reminds me a newborn baby’s butt? Well, it does. Anyways, major drama around the turkey. Yesterday it was still frozen solid. I put it in a water bath, then realized that it would be so bloated by the time I finally cooked it that we’d probably have turkey squish for Thanksgiving. I dried it off, wrapped it up (like I should have in the first place) and finally, the right way, thawed that bird out. Phew.
