Sanity in a bottle
Long ago I discovered the importance of making time in my life to relax at the end of the day. Little did I know about the nasty joke mother nature had in store for my muscles as the years have gone by. The answer to both of these was the Masada Bath Salts in Lavender. Yes, they have a few...
Best Lavender Salts & Good Value
These are the very best lavender bath salts I've ever used, and I hope that Amazon gets more in stock soon. You can use pretty much any epsom salt to soak for pain relief, and this one doesn't disappoint. I have moderate to severe arthritis in my shoulders and up & down my spine (bad genes), and...
very relaxing, except...
I first purchased this in February for around $15 with Subscribe and Save. The price went up to $23 with the next order and is now $32. The salts smell wonderful and do help me with my relaxation but if the price is going to be so crazy, that kinda negates the benefits. I did cancel S&S and will...

The Dead Sea: Spa Town
Life-enhancing waters and mud are the main attractions at Dead Sea resorts. Lying an astonishing 400 meters (1,312 feet) below sea level, the Dead Sea has a unique, healing environment, one that has been documented since biblical times. It attracts vacationers as well as persons seeking relief from rheumatism and skin problems, and taking a cure here today is a combination of age-old natural elements and high-tech therapy. The drive from Jerusalem to the Dead Sea takes less than an hour and passes through 2,000 years of civilization. Arid desert suddenly gives way to a silver-colored sea as the road turns toward a flowering oasis at Ein Gedi, the massive fortress of Masada, and the Ein Bokek hotel area. Set against the bleached hills of the Judean Desert, the region is a vast nature reserve, where wildlife like the Nubian ibex can be spotted among ruins of ancient cultures. Strung along the shore, the modest kibbutz and glamorous high-rise hotels all boast in-house spas. Standard facilities include two pools, one with Dead Sea water, the other with thermo-mineral sulfur water. Treatments range from mud wraps and massage to facials and hydrotherapy tubs Staffed by skilled professionals, some Dead Sea spas specialize in medical treatments for which the seaside microclimate, mineral-laden water, and muc have achieved recognition, although not universal acceptance. But for vacationers, there are state-of-the-art oases at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Golden Tulip Resort, Crowne Plaza, and other members of the Dead Sea Hotel Association. ...
9/7/11: Day Off: “Mr. Sun, Sun, please don’t shine down on me!”
Well today was an exciting day…had boat drill in the morning, have to explain to the safety officer the reason they marked me absent (which was b/c I was held back in the dining hall and had to go up to deck 5 by my lifeboat and maneuver my way thru the crowd of crew), then enjoyed lunch up in Oceanview, and got a little sun up on Deck 6, our private crew deck, not as great as it seems actually compared to the guest decks, but I went up to enjoy the day, work on a crossword puzzle or two and just relax…Well, did I mention that little sun turned into much more than I bargained for. For those of you that know me and my skin, the front is no longer white, but rather a nice cherry color in my attempt to gain a little color… Now, being on a ship it has its advantages and disadvantages---good thing is there are lots of resources to help you w/ your various needs, bad news, most ppl. are working and are hard to get a hold of. However, by the end to my night, I was able...
